Real Madrid Boss Zidane Urges Messi Not To Leave Barcelona

Zinedine Zidane wants Lionel Messi to remain in La Liga - despite what he brings to Real Madrid's bitter rivals Barcelona.
Messi is reportedly considering leaving the Catalan giants when his contract expires in 2021 after growing frustrated at the club.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner is allegedly unhappy with the atmosphere at Barcelona, and the fact he gets blamed whenever things go wrong.

But surprisingly Real Madrid manager doesn't want Messi to leave, despite him being a real threat to the success of his own team, because the Frenchman wants La Liga to retain the world's best players.

"I don't know what will happen but we hope not because he is in this league and we want the best in this league," said Zidane, following Real Madrid's 1-0 win over Getafe on Thursday.

Sergio Ramos scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot. The win sees Real Madrid extend their advantage over Barcelona at the top of the table.
