“I battled depression and it wasn’t easy” – Mabel Makun

Wife of Nigeria’s comedian AY, Mabel Makun has disclosed how she battled with depression some months ago in a recent post on her Instagram page.

Mable has taken to her page to disclosed her struggles with depression sometime back. She disclosed how some close friends helped her to overcome her depressed state.

This comes after Mabel took to her page to call out the Department of State Service (DSS) for ignoring to work on a crime that involves her family. She disclosed that her family has petitioned the DSS about six months ago but nothing has been done.

“So DSS Nigeria has a petition from my family in their office and for the past 6 months have refused to attend to it. If there is anything I hate the most is having to put out private issues but from this part of the world, authorities have a way of not urgently attending to life-threatening issues.

Should I start posting video pieces of evidence of this criminal act before actions will be taken against all the parties involved? Or should we continue to be quiet while innocent citizens die every day in this country? I need everyone’s opinion please. @dssnigeria

She further disclosed the whole issue made her go through depression and she fought to regain her sanity. Mabel disclosed that she is now better and has recovered from her depression but is expecting the DSS to do the needful.

“So for months, I experienced the full meaning of depression. To date, there are days that I still hide and cry my eyes out. Only those very close to me can tell exactly what I went through trying to gain my sanity back. I am a lot better now but what about those that probably did not survive? @dssnigeria do the needful.”
