Supacash Mint Lets Users Send Money Without Account Details

Supacash is pushing digital transfers in a new direction with Mint, a feature designed to simplify how people send and receive money.

Unlike traditional bank transfers that require account numbers and lengthy confirmations, Mint allows users to send money without needing the recipient’s banking details upfront. The feature is part of Supacash’s growing ecosystem of social finance tools focused on making money movement faster, easier and more flexible.

The platform already offers transfers, bill payments, savings goals, giveaways and group wallets, but Mint introduces a more modern approach to peer-to-peer payments.

One of the most interesting parts of the feature is its flexibility around transaction fees. Instead of the sender always covering transfer charges, Mint can allow the recipient to absorb the fee during the claiming process. This changes the dynamics of digital transfers and introduces more control for users.

The use cases are broad. Friends can send money instantly without asking for account details. Businesses can distribute funds faster to customers or staff. Using Mint is straightforward. A sender creates a Mint transfer and shares the claim access with the intended recipient. The recipient can then securely claim the money through Supacash without the sender needing their account information beforehand. Recipients don’t need to download the Supacash app to claim, and the funds can be sent to any Nigerian bank account.

According to Supacash Co-founder Overcomer Idemudia, the feature reflects the company’s ambition to modernize money movement for the digital generation.

“We believe sending money should feel as simple and flexible as sending a message. Mint removes unnecessary friction and gives users more control over how transfers happen,” he said.
