LushRide, a Nigerian transportation company, is set to launch a luxury ride-hailing app in Lagos in November 2026, with a focus on executive SUVs and luxury sedans for passengers seeking premium transportation services.

The company, founded in 2025 by Oluwatomiwa Odujoko, is scheduled to begin operations on November 11, 2026, offering airport transfers, on-demand rides and scheduled bookings. Its services will initially cover Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Ikeja.

Unlike conventional ride-hailing platforms that accommodate different categories of vehicles, LushRide will concentrate on luxury and executive vehicles, targeting business professionals, corporate clients, airport travellers and other passengers requiring premium transportation.

The company said it has secured its Lagos State operating licence ahead of the launch, marking a regulatory milestone in its preparations to enter the city's ride-hailing market.

It also confirmed that its rider and driver applications are available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, allowing prospective passengers and driver partners to register ahead of the commencement of operations.

Under the planned service, passengers will be able to request vehicles for immediate journeys, arrange airport transfers or schedule rides in advance. The company also plans to provide transportation for corporate engagements and other travel requirements.

As part of its driver onboarding process, LushRide said all prospective drivers must undergo police background checks before receiving approval to operate on the platform.

The company further disclosed that both drivers and passengers will be insured on every ride, introducing insurance coverage as part of its operating arrangements.

According to the company, the driver screening requirement is intended to support its verification process, while the insurance provision forms part of measures introduced ahead of commercial operations.

The planned launch comes as app-based transportation services continue to provide mobility options for residents and visitors in Lagos. LushRide's entry will introduce another operator to the market, with its services concentrated on executive SUVs and luxury sedans.

Founded by Odujoko and headquartered in Lekki, the company aims to establish itself within the premium transportation segment, beginning with selected locations across Lagos.

With its operating licence secured and mobile applications available, LushRide is preparing to commence commercial operations in November, subject to the completion of its remaining launch arrangements.
